Hi, I'm Jarrod.

Most people guess at their own life. I wired mine up instead. Miles, sleep, chess rating, every race: pulled off my devices while I'm asleep. Nothing on this page is typed in by hand. Scroll.

Now

Three things get my energy right now.

At home

Baby boy incoming. Every spare hour now goes into the house and the nursery. Nine years of chasing finish lines, and the one that actually matters is the delivery room. Lindsay and I are ready.

In training

Burning River 50: done. 50 miles, 9 hours 49 minutes, one very good day in the woods. Now the plan flips. Less running, more lifting. The endurance guy learns to pick things up.

At work

Six months on the Finance Technology team. The job: get a 125-year-old company to actually use AI. Not pilot it. Use it. I also run development for our early-career analysts, which is the fastest way I know to learn something twice.

About

Life Resume

A normal resume lists jobs. This one lists what I'd actually tell you about.

Endurance

  • 3,000+ miles run in the last 12 months
  • Laced up on 334 of the last 366 days
  • 16 marathons (Berlin, Chicago, and NYC in the bag), a 50K, and now a 50-miler
  • Running all 50 states: 20 down, map below

Things I've built

  • RunRace USA: every road and trail race in America, in one search box. 25,000 of them. How it works.
  • OpenClaw: an AI assistant that lives in my iMessage. I text it like a person. It answers like an employee. How it works.
  • This site. It rebuilds itself off my watch at midnight while I'm asleep.

Work

  • Senior Developer, The J.M. Smucker Co.: Finance Technology. AI strategy, agents, deployment.
  • Before that: Lead Analyst, Corporate FP&A. Long-range plan, EBITDA and free cash flow models, and the slides that went in front of the Board.
  • Product Management Analyst at Westfield and Farmers Insurance. SQL, dashboards, and killing manual reports.
  • Started at Tesla, part-time, still in school. That's where I caught it: move fast, let the machines do the lifting.

Side hustles

  • Run coaching: training plans for runners chasing their next PR
  • AI tutoring: I show students and local shops how to actually use this stuff, not just talk about it

Education

  • Kent State University: B.B.A., Finance
  • The Ohio State University: MBA
  • Self-taught AI developer. The best classroom is shipping.

Places & adventures

  • Martha's Vineyard, June 2026: our baby-moon
  • Sedona, December 2025: raced The Marathon Project to a 3:08 PR, then hiked red rocks all week
  • Countries so far: United States, Mexico, Canada, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary
Running

Miles, daily

Straight off the Garmin. No manual entry, no rounding up, no good weeks cherry-picked. Last 12 months, exactly as they happened.

Racing

The long game: a race in all 50 states. Race info lives on five different websites and none of them are good, so I built the one I wanted.

Running HQ

  • The whole operation on one page: weekly volume, the current block, the biggest days
  • Fed by Garmin nightly. No hand-typed miles.

Fifty States

  • The quest map, with receipts: every state colored in, every race that did it
  • Hover a state, get the story

Race Log

  • Every start line since 2013: filterable by distance, year, or search
  • Now with where each one actually happened

PR Board

  • Every PR plotted on the road that got there, including the races that went backwards
  • The marathon line: 4:29 to 3:08

RunRace USA

  • Thousands of upcoming races, all 50 states, next 12 months
  • Filter by state, month, distance, or miles from your zip

Getting In

  • How to get into Boston, NYC, Western States, and the races you can't just sign up for
  • Every entry path, with your honest odds

Running Resume

  • Every race I've run, detected automatically from Strava
  • Verified against official results. It even caught races I forgot to log.

Race Results + Strava

  • Official Mohican 50K results, matched to the Strava activities runners posted
  • Strava athlete #23,843,968 of 150M+. Logging runs there since 2017.

Every mile, drawn

Nine years of GPS, drawn. One tile per place I've run: the race if there was one, the longest run if there wasn't. Tap a tile to flip through the rest.

Chess

Pulled live from the Chess.com API on every page load. Which means you might catch me mid-slump.

Sleep

Also the Garmin. Every night since 2020. The boring input that makes everything above it possible.
